We believe that entrepreneurship and social innovation are major agents of transformation and, combined, can make the North area an important pole of sustainable development in the city of São Paulo.

Social innovation, entrepreneurship, cooperation, non-conformism and leadership.
Recognition
The North area is our home!
The Center Norte Institute was awarded by the City of São Paulo with the City Seal of Human Rights and Diversity, in the Women category, for its work with the Rede CriaNorte. This City Hall program aims to highlight the best diversity and inclusion practices and policies.
Rede CriaNorte, a partnership with Rede Asta, is currently an autonomous working group that aims to turn textile consumption into a social and economic inclusion tool for low-income craftswomen and seamstresses residing in the North area of the city promoting empowerment and training in an entrepreneurial transformation process.

Our Resources
Our activities are funded by resources donated by the Cidade Center Norte business complex and also by resources mobilized within it – mainly the collection and sale of recyclable materials discarded by shopkeepers at Center Norte, the organization of activities and festive events at the mall, and a small percentage coming from the sale of products at the Cooperative Kiosk.
The Cooperative Kiosk is a space granted by Center Norte inside the mall, for social partner organizations of Instituto Center Norte to market their products. Like this, they can increase the revenue and visibility of their work.
In addition to that, Instituto Center Norte offers technical follow-up to projects of civil society organizations that are funded by resources raised in Cidade Center Norte business units.
The fund raising happens through Lei de Incentivo à Cultura, Lei de Incentivo ao Esporte (LIE), Lei do Idoso, Conselho Estadual dos Direitos da Criança e do Adolescente (Condeca) and Fumcad – Fundo Municipal da Criança e do Adolescente.
